Casting Notice
Blackboard Plays is partnering with Parent Artist Advocacy League (PAAL) to promote a platform for Black Playwrights who tell stories about Black Families. Black Motherhood & Parenting New Play Festival is in the process of accepting playwright submissions. Four play finalists will be selected and will virtually premiere their one act plays during our season. We are seeking performers for our BMPFest season's. Our current season (2022) is cast at this time, but submissions will be considered for 2023 and beyond!
We will also include you in the Blackboard Casting Database for additional opportunities.
Since 2008, Blackboard has been devoted to Black Playwrights and has created a platform for Black Playwrights to have their plays heard and receive feedback.

Please submit 2 one-minute max monologues each that best show your acting range. Please submit one comedic and one dramatic monologue. Please also submit your headshot and resume. The Dropbox Link to upload these items are below. Please use the label examples below for your submissions.

Location: Rehearsals and capture will be virtual.
Compensation: Actors will receive a $200 stipend
